SAT - Learn and Assess
Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 25, 2026
This policy explains how the SAT - Learn and Assess mobile app ("the app", "we", "us") handles your information. The short version: the app does not collect, store on our servers, or share any personal information. There is no account, no sign-in, no advertising, and no analytics.
Information we collect
None. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers, or any other personal information. We do not operate a server that receives data from the app.
Information stored on your device
To work, the app saves the following only on your device, in a local database:
- the confidence rating (1 to 5) you give yourself for each topic,
- your assessment answers, how long each took, and your results.
This information never leaves your device through the app, and we cannot see it. Lessons, practice questions, and assessment questions are built into the app; answering a lesson's practice question is not saved at all.
Device backups
Your phone's own backup service may include the app's local data in its backups, such as iCloud Backup on iPhone or Google backup on Android, depending on your device settings. Those backups are handled by Apple or Google under their privacy policies, not by us.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app deletes all of its data from your device. You can also clear the app's data from your device settings on Android.
Internet use
The app works offline except for one thing: to display math notation, it downloads the open-source KaTeX library from the jsDelivr content delivery network (cdn.jsdelivr.net). Like any website request, this lets jsDelivr see your device's IP address and basic technical details (such as the type of browser component making the request). No questions, answers, or other app data are sent. jsDelivr's handling of this information is described in its own privacy policy at https://www.jsdelivr.com/terms/privacy-policy-jsdelivr-net.
Permissions
The app requests only internet access, for the purpose described above. It does not use your camera, microphone, photos, location, contacts, or notifications.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell, rent, or share any information, because we do not collect any. The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking tools.
Children's privacy
The app is meant for students preparing for the SAT, some of whom may be under 13 (or under the age of digital consent where they live). Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.
Security
Your data stays in the app's private storage on your device, which other apps cannot read. Keeping your device secure, for example with a passcode, protects it further.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, for example a future feature that needs a new permission, we will update this policy and change the effective date above. Significant changes will also be described in the app's release notes.
